ManTech Logistics Specialist in Sterling, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Logistics Specialist to join our team in the Sterling, VA location. This is an onsite position.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse, Global Shipping & Logistics Lead and Senior Procurement Manager to receive, inventory, maintain, pre-stage, and ship all program equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving, unpacking, inventorying, and stocking incoming equipment and updating the program’s inventory database

  • Tracking all equipment sent off-site for vendor repair in the inventory tracking database, noting equipment type, date sent out, date returned, and vendor performing repairs

  • Inspecting, packing, and shipping equipment using appropriate shipping standards

  • Ensuring equipment inventory is up-to-date and accurate at all times

  • Supporting all pre-staging and pre-shipping activities

  • Locating and preparing all equipment required for delivery

  • Assisting in tracking all shipment destinations by country, including costs of shipped equipment, cost of hand-carry equipment, associated details and delivery information

  • Interfacing with Sponsor logistics organizations as needed for shipments leveraging Sponsor facilities and channels

  • Working with external stakeholders, including country partners and freight forwarders to accomplish program objectives

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience managing and maintaining equipment and warehouse facilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience maintaining a large inventory of equipment, shipping internationally, and accounting for deployed equipment remotely

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active/current Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
