BAE Systems Program Finance Manager in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Job Description
The BAE Systems finance organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making in order to deliver quality products and capabilities to our customers and ultimately, the warfighter. BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to provide financial leadership as a key member of the program leadership team. The Program Finance Manager will lead the Program Finance team and partner with cross functional program leadership to develop program strategy and drive financial metrics to successfully execute the programs.
The ideal location for this role to be based in is Phoenix, AZ. However, we are open to other CMS locations.
If the base location is outside of Phoenix, AZ then travel may be 15%-25%.
Responsibilities:
Interface with all levels within the organization ranging from Financial Analysts to General Managers and serve as a Strategic Business Partner, Leader, and Mentor
Providing financial guidance to the Business Area Lead and the Program Management Teams for the CMS business area
Oversight and mentorship Program Finance Analysts
Leading, mentoring, and developing an effective and technically capable program finance team of analysts, driving program metrics, and key performance indicators
Oversight of the financial execution of multiple programs
Ensuring on time and accurate financial reporting for responsible programs
Collaborate with Accounting, Pricing, Government Compliance, and Financial Planning
Financial Planning, in Hyperion for Quarterly and Integrated Business Plan (IBP) updates
Review cost estimates for Product Line proposals, ensuring that proposals are financially sound, risks are understood, and margins are achievable
Provide analytical data and recommendations for required improvement
Provide and interpret data as required for contract accounting activities
Maintain a professional, trained staff commensurate with authorized organizational levels
Assisting with special projects
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Program/Project Finance working with various contract types
Experience with Financial Planning, Forecasting, General Accounting, and Financial Controls
Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Ability to develop, communicate, and present financial data to various functions and varying levels of management
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Capable of efficient and relevant decision-making
Ability to lead and interact with diverse teams
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Effective communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Oracle ERP

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102800 - $174800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
