The Estimating Department within the Finance organization seeks an experienced material cost analyst. In this role, the Material Cost Analyst will coordinate with key stakeholders to obtain and review supplier quote data for inclusion in GD Land Systems proposals, in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Department of Defense FAR supplement (DFAR), and GD Land Systems business unit and GD Corporate guidelines. Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role: Developing buyer direction for GD Land Systems quoting events and summarizing the results in the form of detailed quote matrices that are provided to Material Estimators Obtaining cost or pricing data from suppliers, as required, to comply with FAR 15.4 requirements and conducting cost or pricing data certification sweeps to comply with Truthful Negotiations with our US Government Customers Supporting DCAA/DCMA audits and answering fact finding questions from GD Land Systems' Customers, primarily the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM)/ Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal and the Defense Logistics Agency Supporting the negotiation material costs estimates with our Customers on behalf of GD Land Systems Developing material unit cost targets for Supply Chain Management buyers Supporting special projects, as required
Qualifications Sought:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business Management. Other degrees will be considered with relevant experience. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity and working knowledge of Oracle desired. Experience in the Defense or Automotive industries is a plus.
