Actalent Controls Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Description:
DAY TO DAY:
Candidate will be responsible for project-based work and handling the work from cradle to grave. They will be responsible in the design phase, software phase, commissioning phase, installation phase, field work phase.
The type of work they are doing is related to Process Controls. They will be doing projects that are related to processes and owning that process from start to finish. The type of processes they could be working on is related to Powerhouse systems, furnaces & Incinerators, boilers, waste-to energy conversion, Scada, access systems and support, automation and robotic interfaces, air handling equipment, automotive/paint finishing, temperature control systems.
They are working on a water treatment plant in Florida and local for the year and in the design phase and it. The HMIs are profecy I-FIX and the PLC's is Rockwell.
TRAVEL:
Travel would be around 30%.
HOURS:
Candidate can expect to work anywhere between 40-50 hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST Haves:
-2+ Allen Bradley PLC experience (Candidate will need to be able to program from template and troubleshoot and debug software)
-Automation Manufacturing (Candidate must have worked in this type of setting as they are integrating equipment into facilities)
-Process Controls understanding (Candidate must have knowledge of process controls/have experience in this field)
