JOB TITLE: PACKAGING MACHINE OPERATOR

REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications -Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel -High School Diploma or GED -Basic computer skills including touch screens -Must be able to pass a background change along with a drug test

WAGE: Starting wage $17.00-$19.50/Hour DOE. Weekly Pay.

DAYS/HOURS: Full-time, day shift position. Days/hours to be arranged with employer.

DUTIES: -Read and understand daily production schedules and material requirements. Forklift experience preferred may act as a backup forklift driver on occasion -Transport needed packaging materials to the production area. - Set up and operation of packaging equipment with correct materials and products based on order specifications. -Meet daily production requirements. -Perform periodic quality control checks to ensure the product is packaged according to customer requirements (including checking end and back seals and date codes). -Change product variety, follow pre-set guidelines, and change out filtering screens based on product variety/size. Set, adjust, and periodically check the product flow through a foreign materials machine. Check the magnet for any foreign materials and document and report as required. -Accurately complete and maintain required documentation on product, materials/supplies, output, and machine downtime. -Troubleshoot minor packaging problems and make appropriate adjustments to equipment. -Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. -Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area. -Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. Perform other duties as assigned by Packaging Supervisor or Lead.
