Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving the growth of the business by improving the operational efficiency and accountability through GPS System Installations.

Responsibilities

  • To accomplish this the Mobile Telematics Technician must assist in creating a world class culture and a system of engagement, continuous learning, and development with all team members.

  • The Mobile Telematics Technician will be responsible for Installing Equipment Monitoring & Mounted Radio Communications in Company trucks, trailers and Heavy equipment. Where applicable.

  • Managing all on-site installation, repair, and service tasks for GPS tracking devices in addition to diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.

  • Investigating complaints; conducting Quality audits and tests; and productively resolving problems.

  • Following all procedures and protocols advised by Fleet Management.

  • Documenting and Testing service and installation actions through mobile forms, reports, logs, and records

  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Willingness to Travel to various jobsites for required installations. (USA Only)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Previous technical experience is preferred and/or understanding of automotive wiring/mechanical knowledge preferred.

  • Previous GPS, radio, accessory experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to work efficiently and have excellent time management & organizational skills.

  • Must possess own basic mechanic hand tools, Voltmeter, rechargeable tools, etc.

  • Must possess a valid driver license.

  • Required special equipment will be provided.
