Our summer internship is a 7-weeks programme designed to provide the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Our Norwegian internship will begin on 23 June and ends on 8 August 2025.

The position

The positions are within Finance and Control (F&C). The Finance and Control (F&C) function is the driving force behind performance and creating greater value to Equinor. It provides professional support and advice towards business units and corporate executive management. We also represent Equinor in the financial markets and are responsible for interacting with equity analysts and investors.​

In Finance and Cntrol, you can expect tasks within:

• Accounting: Operations and improvement projects

• Financial model and masterdata: build, maintain masterdata structures and prepare for transition to new SAP solution S/4, advice to enable correct analysis

• Joint Venture audits and Cost Allocations: conducting/coordinating partner audits, manage/advice cost allocation solutions and processes

• Performance management: Reporting, follow-up and improvement work

• Licence Management: help with digital transformation of the way we perform board work in Equinor operated licences, using Microsoft Power Platform (training will be given) to develop apps, automate and analyse

• Business analytics: Develop application for automatic planning and prediction, model and user interface, with support from technical finance experts

• Treasury and Tax: Credit risk management, i.e., determining credit ratings, financial analysis of counterparties, advice related to risk mitigation. Capital Markets related activities; i.e., liquidity forecasting, currency management program, capital distribution and funding recommendation. Project financing activities; i.e., development of non-recourse financial structures for renewables and low carbon projects within Equinor

You

For this position we are looking for those with:

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record within Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Industrial Economics, Information Technology.

• Fluent in English.

• No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience.

• Have completed at least two years of higher education before the internship programme starts (23 June 2025).

• Have at least one year of higher education left after the internship programme ends (8 August 2025).

• The interns need to be located in the country where the internship takes place during its entire duration. Equinor does not support any relocation for our summer interns.

• Candidates must have the necessary work permit for the country in which they are applying for a position. The work permits must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the employment. Please note that Equinor does not support, or sponsor work or visa permits for internship applications.
