Weatherford FINANCE CONTROLLER in Stavanger, Norway

Weatherford Norge have a great opportunity for an experienced ambitious Finance Controller to join the team in Stavanger.

The Finance Controller will oversee all financial activities of Scandinavia region ensuring timely, accurate and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements as well as provide strategic financial leadership to Country Director and staff to drive focus in value creation and maximise generation of free cash flow.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly USGAAP reporting and annual Financial Statement preparation, including monthly tracking to budgets and forecast with variances reported alongside corrective actions where required.

  • Working capital optimization with managing credit risk, inventory and payables alongside cashflow management.

  • Summarize large amounts of data to meaningful information to enable fast and accurate decision making, partnering with Country Director for value creation.

  • Participate in all tenders’ review, provide financial advice, review and approve BSA.

  • Oversee the assessment of the country’s risk management and control processes (CSA) to report any deficiencies.

  • Collaborate with management teams to support overall business operations and initiatives.

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Liaise with internal teams, such as payroll, tax, to ensure all statutory obligations and Director duties are fulfilled timely.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities as required.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, or Finance or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in financial management.

  • CPA or other financial qualification.

  • Excellent financial management and reporting skills.

  • High level of commercial acumen.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and perform in high pressure, high pace environment.

  • Flexible and motivated team player.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, must be able to pass information of a complex nature to various levels in the organization, written and verbal.

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

  • Ability to exercise initiative to support continual process improvements.

  • Good English proficiency, verbal and written.

Preferred:

  • Prior Oil and Gas experience.

  • Large international corporate experience.

  • Hyperion smart view experience.
