Pay Rate: The pay range for this role is generally $41,600-46,600 annually, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY:
Community Health Action of Staten Island, in partnership with Sun River Health, has developed a collaborative program to enhance care engagement, improve HIV health outcomes, and promote the well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH/A) in Queens and Staten Island. The Ryan White Support Services program addresses unmet social service needs that have significantly hindered their access to and engagement in HIV and other essential medical care.
The Data, Quality, and Support Specialist for the Ryan White Support Services program will be responsible for providing data and quality management to the department’s programs, along with additional administrative duties. The position will lead the data entry process, conduct program monitoring, and facilitate the reconciliation of program documentation. The Data, Quality, and Support Specialist is responsible for conducting audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. This role will require some work be done at both the Staten Island and Queens sites.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the NYS Department of Health (DOH) Ryan White Quality Management Program.
Review and enter monthly data documenting services provided into AIRS.
Conduct routine client documentation and chart reviews for quality and compliance purposes.
Assist in maintaining databases and internal data systems including the client roster.
Verify data for completeness and accuracy.
Implement process to ensure timely and accurate entry and review of data.
Conduct monthly data reconciliation of services entered within internal databases with the funder database.
Work closely with the department’s leadership team to track, report and analyze monthly and contractual performance.
Compile data and write concise reports summarizing quality assurance findings.
Track and report data issues to managers to identify potential training opportunities.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement activities.
Participate in preparation for monitoring visits and follow-up planning.
Attending regular team meetings, training, and contractor-facilitated meetings to support growth and development.
Collaborate with the Department of Data & Quality on agency-level projects.
ADMINISTRATION:
Support with the management of program entry areas by greeting visitors, directing them appropriately, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Order and maintain supplies needed for program operation.
Manage MetroCard, Petty Cash, Incentive logs, and distribution.
Perform all functions in alignment with CHASI’s mission, vision, and core values.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalency REQUIRED, associates or other college degree preferred.
At least 2 years of experience related to data and quality management.
Experience performing quality assurance functions is strongly preferred.
Computer literacy REQUIRED with Microsoft applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with other reporting systems is strongly desired.
