Borough of State College Tax Specialist in State College, Pennsylvania
Title: Tax Specialist
Location: State College Municipal Building
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.65

REQUIREMENTS: The Tax Specialist provides administrative support in the administration, collection, and enforcement of local taxes. Works closely with taxpayers, tax preparers, and other staff in administering tax rules and regulations. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two or more years' experience in tax collection; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in accounting or related field
