Penn State Health Medical Office Associate - Benner Pike Office in State College, Pennsylvania
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Penn State Health Medical Group Benner Pike -- Suite 1 is seeking a Medical Office Associate to join the team! This office hosts a variety of specialties, including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Family Medicine, Adult Congenital Heart, Endocrinology, Device Clinic. The Medical Office Associate will be responsible for patient check-in and check-out, scheduling follow-up appointments, and processing referrals. Additional duties include handling inbound and outbound phone calls, managing incoming and outgoing faxes, and overseeing the e-messaging system for patient inquiries. With an average of 50-80 patients seen daily, the ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively interact with a variety of staff and patients
- Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment
- Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees
- Ability to solve problems, or seek assistance from supervisor when necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
6 months of customer service experience preferred
Medical Office experience preferred
