Landscape & General Maintenance Technician
- Spring, Summer, and Fall months perform mainly grounds and landscaping activities
- Winter months and periodically throughout the year perform general maintenance activities
- Respond quickly and courteously to resident requests for maintenance service; troubleshoot and take the appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards established
- Regularly interact with resident customers, communicate thoughts, and provide customer service
- Prioritize and manage your daily workload to ensure successful completion of work requests
- Manage work requests via company provided mobile tablet; receive work requests, update work requests, input notes and comments within work request, take photos and video and upload to work request
- Perform property inspections, document maintenance requirements to improve or restore property condition upon move-out/turn-over of resident
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
- Work within a collaborative team environment and often perform work independently
Technical Qualifications (not all skills required): In general, we are seeking well-rounded maintenance technicians that have the technical capabilities noted below. Please note it is not required to have deep expertise in all trades. It is expected that maintenance technicians have the ability to operate hand tools and power tools to perform tasks.
Landscaping & Snow Removal: mowing, pruning, weed control, leaf blowing, fall & spring clean-up, and general landscaping; hand and/or equipment-aided snow removal and de-icing Electrical: Install, replace, maintain, or repair receptacles, light switches, light fixtures, washers/dryers, refrigerators, stoves, range hoods, and hot water heaters, etc. Gas: Install, replace, maintain, or repair washers/dryers, refrigerators, stoves, and hot water heaters, etc. Plumbing: Install, replace, maintain, or repair toilets, tub/sink faucets, tub/sink drain lines, solder copper pipe, pex water lines, PVC/CPVC pipes, sewer lines, and hot water heaters, etc.
Carpentry: Install, replace, maintain, or repair kitchen cabinets, ceramic tile, linoleum, carpet, interior/exterior doors, windows, door knobs, and deadbolts, etc. Other: Install, replace, maintain, or repair shingles, siding, windows, interior/exterior doors, drywall, paint, water/sewer line repair Remodels: Kitchens, Bathrooms, Flooring, Drywall, Paint
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Driver's License
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift materials greater than 50 pounds
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders, roofs, and gutters
- Background Check and Drug Testing
