Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

A Service Technician will provide maintenance and repairs on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience. As a Service Technician IV, you must demonstrate the ability to work independently to properly diagnose and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems.

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Assist with the training of newer Service Technicians.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide range of residential and light commercial equipment, and present repair and replacement options to customers.

• Complete service repairs as approved by the customer.

• Understand and utilize flat rate and quote majority of repairs without assistance.

• Complete and submit all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.

• Reach weekly KPI goal of $4,400 and up.

• Order parts when applicable.

• Participate in the on-call rotation.

• Drive company vehicle.

• Comply with company and industry safety standards, and all company policies.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and accessories

  • Advanced knowledge of tools of the trade

  • Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems

  • Good technology skills (iPad, dispatch software, etc.)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to both follow and give instructions

  • Excellent communication skills (required to interact with customers)

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in State College, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

HVAC Service Technician for residential and commercial environments. Position will be hourly direct placement due to being in residential homes.
