Borough of State College Engineering Technician in State College, Pennsylvania
Title: Engineering Technician
Location: State College Municipal Building
Starting Hourly Rate: $25.23

REQUIREMENTS:
The Engineering Technician performs technical work in the field of civil engineering, including the construction inspection, surveying, and infrastructure design for streets, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, sidewalks, street lighting, traffic signals, parks, buildings and other Borough facilities. Work is performed under limited supervision with moderate latitude. Position relies on education, training, and experience while exercising independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in civil engineering/surveying; supplemented by four or more years' experience in surveying and drafting; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Comparable experience and/or education will be considered to meet the minimum requirements. Must have and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Surveyor or Surveyor in training certification
- Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, and related instrumentation and software
