CATABUS Customer Service Representative in State College, Pennsylvania

Hiring for: Customer Service Representative

 

Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) is looking to fill a customer service position that will serve the needs of CATA’s customers at our lively, downtown service center. Primary tasks include face-to-face and telephone interactions with customers, selling passes and tokens, providing route information and answering general inquiries.  The preferred candidate will be personable, energetic, and outgoing with the ability to manage the daily workflow.

Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.

1.  Answers the telephones and forwards calls to appropriate personnel as needed

2.  Makes reservations for CATAGO! and CATARIDE

3.  Responds to customer’s needs, including service schedules, location of buses, and the cost for rides

4.  Maintains new and deceased customer data in the Reduced Fare and CATARIDE programs

5.  Registers customers for the Reduced Fare Program, Free Senior Transit Pass, and CATARIDE programs

6.  Sells tokens and bus passes

7.  Prints information collected and closes out the cash register daily

Hourly rate (dependent upon experience and qualifications): $15.16 - $17.17
