 We are looking for a coachable and motivated individual to fill the position Roustabout within our OxyRock group based in Midland, Texas area.  This position will be responsible for the operation of wells to generate maximum revenue at the minimum cost working with other employees and contractors. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

·         Ensure wells and equipment in assigned production area are operating correctly

·         Recommend needed changes to improve production (POC adjustment, etc.)

·         Maintain leases in an environmentally safe manner

o   Report all leaks to your supervisor immediately, per HSE&E Handbook

o   Monitor leases daily

·         Maintain a clean work environment

o   Remove all trash from leases (including pumping unit base)

o   Keep vegetation off dikes, inside dikes, and around pumping unit

o   Keep location free of equipment (rods, tubing, etc.) 

·         Ensure oil and gas is properly measured and sold to correct pipeline/ truck specifications

o   Gauge tanks, cut tanks, work tanks, and ensure BS&W is acceptable

o   Monitor gas meters, witness calibrations/ sample testing when appropriate

o   Manage LACT’s start and stop monthly close outs & proving/ calibration

o   Manage tank levels

·         Report daily production promptly and with extreme accuracy

o   Compare actual production to expected forecast and report major variances to your supervisor

o   Work closely with production accounting group

·         Review LOS Reports

o   Recommend changes to reduce costs to your supervisor

o   Ensure accuracy

·         Monitor and maintain facility performance

·         Review well failure reports

o   Monitor Chemical Program

o   Monitor downhole failures and make needed recommendations

§  Rod Wear

§  Corrosion

·         Compare actual production to expected forecast and report major variances to your supervisor

·         Work with production engineers, area managers, and other relevant employees in making adjustments on wells as needed including but not limited to

o   Pumping unit changes

§  Sheave changes

§  Stroke length changes

o   Pump Off Control Adjustments

·         Perform routine maintenance as needed (repair or change out stuffing box packing, dump valves, etc.)

·         Coordinate roustabout crew work as needed

·         Compile reports promptly, insuring accuracy

·         Track & Monitor well failure

o   Monitor Chemical Program

o   Monitor downhole failures and make needed recommendations

§  Rod Wear

§  Corrosion

·         Compare actual production to expected forecast and report major variances to your supervisor

o   Work with Engineers / Production foremen in making adjustments on wells as needed

o   Run Dyno’s and Fluid levels/ Following Engineer’s recommendations

§  Changes to Pumping Unit Performance

§  Pump Off Control Adjustments

·         Ensure all reserve pits closed and report to supervisor if not

·         Be willing and available to take on additional responsibilities

o   Observe and coordinate rig work (production rod or tubing failures, etc.)

o   Observe and coordinate roustabout crews’ work as needed, coordinating with your supervisor

·         Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         High School diploma or GED 

·         Some college or technical training a plus

·         Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

·         Proficient in the use of personal computer utilizing a MS Windows environment

·         General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

·         Good communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision

·         Technical skills related to math and analytical processes

·         Strong initiative and self-starter

·         Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization

·         Understanding of business fundamentals

·         Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices

·         General oilfield safety training

·         H2S certification

·         First aid certification

·         Complete the Level I e-pilot course list
