Kalyani Mobility Drivelines Plant Controller in Standish, Michigan

As a Plant Controller/Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and coordination of the company's fiscal management of our manufacturing operations. This position will provide key support to the Head of Operations and to the group controller. You will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting functions, analyzing production costs, and providing insights to optimize operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Essential Functions · Responsible for cash management and cash flow forecasting. · Responsible for cost accounting functions and job order costing. · Ensured proper insurance coverage is carried, and maintained. · Negotiating benefits renewals for employees and balancing cost/benefit analysis. · Maintaining books and records for the Company's parent holding corporation. · Providing management with weekly/monthly/annual reports and analysis · Responsible for monthly financial closings and accurate maintenance of financial records · Manage the preparation of financial statements and financial reports. · Oversee daily operations of the finance department. · Serve as primary contact for outside professionals, i.e., banking, insurance, accounting, etc. · Prepare financial analysis for management decision making. · Monitor and analyze monthly operating results. · Direct financial audits (i.e.: Workers Comp, 401k) and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. · Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. · Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. · Performs other duties as assigned. · Adhere to the company Quality Policy, understanding and follow all applicable Quality Work Instructions and Procedures. Requirements Education/Required Skills/Abilities: · Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation is a plus. · , preferably in a manufacturing environment. · Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, standard costing, and inventory management. · Experience working with large ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
