The Nursing Department of Saint Josephs College of Maine is seeking a full timeAssistant Professor of Nursing! Thesuccessful candidate will teach courses in the pre-licensure program BSN program. This position is for the Standish, Maine campus. This is not a remote position. Successful candidates will have experience teaching evidence based practice/ nursing research concepts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Course development and revisions
- Teaching didactic courses for on campus students
- Academic advisement
- Clinical coordination of the assigned course (if clinical component present)
- Working with the simulation technologist on simulation and lab activities as needed
- Scholarship
- Schedule office hours for student meetings
- Assisting with recruitment efforts for the nursing program
Minimum Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- DNP/ PhD preferred
- Five years of nursing experience
- Active unencumbered Maine RN license
- One to two years experience in nursing education programs
- Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in a traditional undergraduate BSN program
