Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Stafford, Texas
Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Stafford, Texas. In this role, you will manage accounts payable, oversee proforma and progress billing, and implement cost accounting strategies. This role is also responsible for revenue recognition for project billing, managing accruals, and overseeing cash flow management within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department
• Coordinate and execute proforma and progress billing procedures
• Implement and maintain cost accounting strategies within the manufacturing industry
• Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals
• Oversee revenue recognition for project billing to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Implement, manage and evaluate cash flow management strategies
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Implement and manage accounts receivable procedures
• Drive process improvement initiatives within the accounting department
• Utilize knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting to provide accurate financial reporting and guidance. Requirements • Must possess comprehensive knowledge in Accounting Functions.
• Capability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting is necessary.
• Knowledge of Progress Billing is required.
• Should have an understanding of Revenue Recognition.
• Experience in Process Improvement in an accounting context is beneficial.
