Aerotek Union Welder in Stacy, Minnesota

Description:

  • Company manufactures pressure vessels for storing flammable materials, a lot of it is tanks for propane trucks

  • They are currently looking for a welder to perform custom welding in an A.S.M.E. (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) regulated environment

  • They are looking for people with fluxcore, sub arc, mig, and tig experience.

  • Must have good blue print reading skills

  • They will be testing on SMAW horizontal, SMAW vertical, and FCAW Vertical. Ask them if they know what those initials mean.

  • ASME environment, a little dirtier, but fairly typical of a large manufacturing environment

Hours:

  • 1st shift - 6 AM - 3:30 PM - Monday-Friday

  • 2nd Shift M-F 3:30pm-12:30am

Pay/Benefits:

  • $26-$30/hr depending interview/weld test

  • Contract to union (6 months)

  • Scheduled pay increases the first week of September

  • Holiday pay after 30 days (even while on contract)

  • Union Benefits (health benefits which include; medical, dental, vision, & hearing) NO DEDUCTIBLE!!

  • 401K - they contribute $1.10 for every hour worked

  • Overtime: 1.5X after 8 hours worked each day, 1.5X on Saturdays, 2X on Sundays, 3X on Holidays
