Inventory Control Supervisor – based onsite in at our new Bryan Dairy location in Seminole, FL. 3rd Shift is approximately 11p - 7a.

As an Inventory Control Supervisor at Jabil, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility by leading a team of inventory control specialists during your assigned shift. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and control to support production activities and meet customer demands.

What can you expect to do?

  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of inventory control specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity during the shift.

  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods through effective planning, monitoring, and control processes.

  • Inventory Tracking: Implement and oversee systems for tracking the movement of inventory items, including receiving, storage, issue, and replenishment, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.

  • Ordering and Replenishment: Coordinate with production planning and procurement teams to initiate timely orders for materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production requirements.

  • Stock Control: Establish and enforce procedures for controlling stock levels, including setting reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory turnover targets, to optimize inventory holding costs.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that inventory items meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and audits, and addressing any issues related to damaged or defective materials.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities to verify the accuracy of inventory records and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Optimization of Inventory: Analyze inventory data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improving inventory turnover, reducing carrying costs, and minimizing stockouts.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, withdrawals, adjustments, and transfers, and generate reports to track inventory performance and compliance.

    What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control/warehousing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, practices, and techniques.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data analysis.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
