Zelis Provider Services Specialist in St. Petersburg, Florida
Position Overview:
We are seeking energetic and reliable professionals to join the Zelis team as a Provider Services Specialist. This call center position is primarily responsible for answering inbound calls from providers and healthcare facilities. The Provider Services Specialist ensures providers successfully register for services and navigate the portal to view payment details. Our Provider Services Specialists are often the first point of contact, so we are interested in hiring individuals with a commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
Assist providers with enrollment and portal navigation
Respond to provider inquiries via email within set timeframes
Identify caller needs, research issues, and provide solutions
Handle inquiries with compassion and patience
Utilize active listening to clarify information and manage difficult callers
Manage tickets, password resets, and account unlocks
Cultivate professional relationships with customers
Follow up on complaints and reported issues
Meet or exceed call center metrics
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Prevent and address fraudulent activity
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Utilize software and tools effectively
Prioritize provider satisfaction as the top priority
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Active listening and attention to detail
Ability to navigate computer systems and applications
Adaptability to a structured call center environment
Problem-solving abilities
Exceptional customer service skills
Efficient multitasking and time management
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
Typing speed of at least 40+ words per minute
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
