Top Skills Needed:
3+ years of exp in product applications support
Familiarity with sales negotiation, upsells, cold calls, and related sales tactics
Technical expertise in industrial instrumentation
Clear and articulate communications skills - listening, verbal and written in English
PREFERRED:
Bachelor's in Engineering
Knowledge of gas detection methods and systems
Exp w/ design software (i.e. AutoCAD)
Exp w/ MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

responsibilities:
Highly responsive to requests for quote and/or proposals including developing formal project submittals, to include product technical details, proposed layout, P&ID, network loop, and schematic proposals as required, and in accordance with customer project technical and commercial requirements.
Assists Customer Support with orders that have special requirements to resolve issues or questions with a high sense of urgency.
Provides training to customers and employees on product features and capabilities.
Actively works with Customer Support and Service personnel to assess needs and recommend product and service solutions, which are consistent with industry best practices and the Company's products.
Works proactively to generate commercially complete quotations with part numbers, pricing and lead times to support recommended solutions, in a highly accurate and professional manner with a high sense of urgency, through close interactions with regional sales managers, directly with sales channel partners, existing customers and marketing leads. Tracks and follows-up to close orders in a timely and professional manner.
Develops and maintains expert knowledge on industrial gas detection applications.
Regularly updates the CRM system with the current opportunity status and other relevant customer contact information in accordance with Company guidelines.
Generates and actively mines Business Activity reports, past sales data, and other relevant sources to proactively uncover sales opportunities for prompt follow-up.
Works with marketing, sales, product management and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
Maintains a high level of technical expertise and understanding of the operation and application of the Company's products and services.
Generates reports from the Company's operating system in an accurate and timely manner, as required or directed.
Works with the Materials Department regarding special order delivery requirements.
Assists in identifying and tracking niche/OEM sales opportunities. Presents proposals (e.g. need for a modified product) to Product Management to win this business.
Assists in the resolution of customer complaints to ensure follow up and implementation of required preventative and corrective actions in a timely manner.
Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.
