Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Top-notch analytical skills are vital to the duties of this position. This full-time position includes solid compensation, good benefits, and the possibility to grow. This Senior Accountant role is located in the St. Paul area.
How you will make an impact
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements - Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong attention to detail
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
ERP system experience
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Solid understanding of month end closings
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
