Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$94,900.00 - $156,600.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I, Salesforce CRM Analytics Engineer to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape. Individual will complete end to end engineering tasks that span many parts of the system including designing, developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system specifications. Individual will also consult with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications, manage the effective use of resources, work within multiple applications, work as a release manager for delivery team and work closely with the product team to determine capacity and release planning.

What Will You Do?

  • Define and design integration architecture to increase leverage of CRM Analytics out of box connectors and functions.

  • Responsible for E2E tasks of defining, designing, building, testing, and implementing data visualization solutions by consuming commonly defined data flows, datasets, and recipes.

  • Assist with CRM Analytics data mapping. Drive commonality and reuse of data across LOBs (Lines of Business).

  • Define and design security architecture while considering personas and nature of CRM Analytics dashboards and visualization.

  • Document and gain approval on High Level Data, Integration Architecture Solution designs for CRM Analytics.

  • Perform analysis, advanced level design, configuration and develop functions for impactful and high-visibility tasks.

  • Participate in implementing solutions to moderately complex, loosely scoped problems that are aligned with team goals.

  • Deliver efforts both independently and by pairing with other team members.

  • Lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact problems, defects, and incidents.

  • Act as a technology advocate, independently seeking opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the business.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers while fostering a team environment.

  • Apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned efforts.

  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.

  • Translate business requirements into well architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce CRM platform.

  • Be a liaison between the product analysts and development teams to ensure the technical solution resolves the business needs

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • 2+ years of CRM Analytics experience defining, designing, and implementing business solutions. This includes creating datasets, data flows, recipes, and visualizations.

  • 3 years’ experience working with large data sets and Business Intelligence Data Analytics and Visualization tools like Tableau, Cognos, Power BI, CRM Analytics

  • Salesforce certification: CRM Analytics

  • Must have a strong understanding of CRM Analytics platform architecture, security predicates, dependency management and design fundamentals.

  • Must have a strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and CRM data modeling.

  • Salesforce Lightening application building experience including Lightning web components

  • Experience in Agile delivery model.

  • Experience working with distributed cross-functional/cross-organizational stakeholders

  • Experience in application of test design strategies and techniques, knowledge of test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Open Refine, Copado and other tools

  • Experience working with CI/CD processes incorporating test automation.

  • Experience with CA Agile Manager Jira, Rally or similar ALM tools

  • Working knowledge of automated deployment / DevOps tools and technologies like Copado

  • Working knowledge of source control management tools such as Git

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.

  • One year of programming/development experience.
