job summary:

A Senior Systems Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Arden Hills, MN area. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of BLE and RF systems for medical devices, ensuring high performance and compliance with industry standards while providing technical leadership and managing project deliverables.

salary: $57.07 - 72.86 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of BLE and RF systems for medical devices, including hardware and software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Analyze and optimize system performance, addressing issues related to RF interference, signal integrity, and power consumption.

  • Prepare detailed system architecture and design documentation, including block diagrams, flowcharts, and design/interface specifications.

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and medical regulations, including FDA and ISO standards, and assist in regulatory documentation preparation.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in RF design, BLE protocols, signal processing, and medical device development.

  • Experience with RF simulation tools, embedded programming languages, and medical device development tools.

  • strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and effective teamwork.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering, with at least 3 years in BLE/RF technologies.
