New Century School Secondary Science and Math Teacher in St. Paul, Minnesota
Responsible for providing engaging and comprehensive instruction in both science and mathematics at the secondary education level; create a positive learning environment; implement effective teaching strategies and foster the academic growth of students; develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans in both science and math subjects for secondary students; conduct effective and interactive classroom instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles; design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, providing timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth; offer additional assistance and support to students as needed, including tutoring and personalized learning strategies; foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, maintaining discipline while encouraging a collaborative and respectful atmosphere; incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for the digital age; collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the school community; stay current with developments in education, attend workshops, and participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills; utilize and apply knowledge of secondary-level math, physics, biology, chemistry and general science to perform assigned duties; communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns, fostering a strong partnership between home and school; and participate in and support extracurricular activities, such as science and math clubs, competitions, and other events that enrich the educational experience. Salary: $55,000 per year (standard company benefits apply); Education: Bachelors Education, Biology, Biological Science, Mathematics, Biology, Society and Environment, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Training: None.
