Are you looking to further for your career working for the City of St. Paul? Our Office of Human Resources is hiring a Risk Manager. The Office of Human Resources provides comprehensive support to the 16 City of Saint Paul departments and its 3,000 employees. Here s what you can expect to do: Performs highly responsible strategic planning and design work in the administration of a citywide comprehensive risk management program. Plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, oversees, and provides technical direction for workers compensation, tort liability, and city safety programs. Performs risk management in various types of insurance. Recommends citywide and individual settlements regarding risk management decisions to Administration for approval. Develops and oversees a loss management program and analyzes funding alternatives and determines appropriate funding approaches for individual and collective risk functions and tort liability. Negotiates contracts with insurance vendors and healthcare providers directly. Evaluates government regulations, laws, and rules concerning risk, insurance, and workers compensation and their impact to the City. Provides full supervision of three direct reports.
