Ecolab Inc Lead Software Development Engineer - Modern Analytics Platform (MAP) in St. Paul, Minnesota

Ecolab is looking for an experienced Lead Software Development Engineer who will be responsible for the efficient operation, health, and hygiene of the Enterprise Data Office.The Lead Software Development Engineer will be hands-on in developing solutions and working closely with architects, project delivery teams, and Operations teams. As Ecolab grows our data footprint, this will be a key role that is essential to the successful operation of the Modern Analytics Platform (MAP). Position Details: Location: This position can sit in either St. Paul, MN or Naperville, IL What You Will Do: Responsible for day-to-day Operations and Health of the Snowflake Environment Govern and enforce Azure and Snowflake security standards Design and develop scalable cloud native solutions Research and implement reliable software to support the execution and delivery of business requirements in the Snowflake Platform Hands-on development of tools to facilitate automation and operability of platform services Enhancing the monitoring/auditing of Systems and creating automation for Dashboards Govern and enforce environment hygiene Technical and Troubleshooting Consulting (Technical SME) Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field 8 years' experience in Software Engineering platform team in a Cloud, SaaS environment and supporting critical services 5 years of hands-on experience in coding (Python, Java, JavaScript) Experienced in Front end development and an understanding of SDLC Experienced in building RESTful web services Proficient in Relational Databases (SQL, Oracle) Experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Azure in particular Familiarity in delivery process via CI/CD implementation Ability to communicate to audiences with varying technical level Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and passion for problem solving Extremely strong fundamental computer science skills No immigration sponsorship available for this position Preferred Qualifications: Cloud data warehouse implementation experience with Snowflake Prior System Operations experience with data warehouses/databases A trusted partner at nearly three million commercial customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services.
