Job Summary: The Development Administrative Assistant provides general support for the Development Leadership Team and Major Gift Officers for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS). This support includes administrative duties such as managing calendars, managing contacts, meeting coordination, and data tracking and reporting. Administrative support is also given to Advocacy/Volunteers, Marketing/Communications, and Development departments, Foundation Board of Trustees and Advancement Committee of the Board of Directors. Qualifications and Requirements: Associate's degree or equivalent experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred. 1 year of administrative experience required. Program coordination experience to be able to multi-task and bring a project to completion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to skillfully communication with people at all levels within the organization, as well as with external stakeholders and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, experience with Microsoft Outlook preferred. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and track large projects. Training and experience in the areas of time management and office management preferred. Experience in non-profit fundraising environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize and draw upon appropriate resources. Problem solving, prioritizing, diplomacy, listening, communicating, and interpersonal skills are needed for this position. Ability to see projects through to completion. Analytical and decision-making skills required. Must be able to handle the complexity involved in supporting the varying needs of the department.
