This is an in-office position working out of St. Paul
This position exists to provide direct customer services and support to a wide range of Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) consumers, clients from other department areas, as well as internal and external division stakeholders in order to:
· Provide direct assistance through in-person, email, or phone contacts to MHCP consumers; other department clients; and the public.
· Complete financial transactions for MinnesotaCare; other MHCP programs such as DACA, MA-EPD, Alternative Care, MSHO, SNBC and other department areas such as Child Support and BRU.
· Provide MHCP eligibility program support for internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
· Two years of customer service experience.
· Ability to administer policies, procedures, and systems used to make eligibility determinations.
· Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple software applications, databases, as well as possessing data entry skills.
· Ability to use math skills to calculate income using multiple sources of documentation.
· Strong customer service skills and effective oral and written communication.
· Ability to read, speak and write English well enough to understand, apply and explain complex eligibility policies.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of financial transaction experience handling payments and receipts.
Experience in Health Care with an emphasis on Minnesota Health Care Programs.
Experience working within METS.
Experience using state mainframe systems such as MAXIS and MMIS.
Knowledge of Affordable Care Act.
Ability to multi-task and work independently with a strong work ethic and demonstrated record of regular attendance.
Quickly adapt to changing policies and procedures.
Ability to work within a high volume, deadline-orientated, and accuracy-focused program where performance and production standards must be met.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
