Description
Robert Half is currently recruiting for a purchasing agent where you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department and have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. This is an entry level position - see requirements below for details.
Perform data entry into account systems and work with vendors and suppliers.
Verify purchase orders and invoices through 3-way match processes to eliminate fraud.
Ensure all departments have appropriate inventory levels and stock mailroom.
Accurately process packing slips and ensure order shipments have all necessary information and communicate contents.
Help the purchasing department with any additional tasks.
Provide excellent customer service and support.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong written and organization skills
Excellent research and analytical skills
Experience entering data into software (such as entering orders, invoices or customer feedback)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Previous experience in accounting or in a similar position
