ARCO Director of Mission Critical, Construction in St. Louis - Richmond Heights, Missouri

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Create and expand ARCO’s footprint in the Mission Critical, Data Center, and Power Based Building spaces

  • Help develop and manage the execution of the Mission Critical sales plan

  • Assist our teams to provide the maximum technical value and overall project success by providing experience in the full lifecycle of Mission Critical industry design, project delivery, operations, and IT services

  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of how Mission Critical environments are designed, constructed, and operated

  • Design and manage construction of Mission Critical facilities from concept design to completion

  • Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process including preliminary layout and design with ARCO’s marketing, estimator, project manager, and senior management team

  • Assist with SPOF analysis, constructability, and commissioning on projects as needed

  • Partner with business development team as a subject matter expert, developing conceptual design facility layouts, and supporting proposal development for comprehensive design/build or EPC solutions

  • Understand and identify potential risks associated with the construction of Mission Critical facilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities

  • Attend trade shows and other association meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects

  • Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market activity within the Mission Critical space

  • Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and industry trends, as well as other key indicators to the ARCO management team

  • Establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations

  • Develop new and innovative solutions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency for Mission Critical end users

  • Travel as needed for projects, trade shows, etc.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • 5-10 years' technical sales and facility design experience within the Mission Critical industry

  • CMCO, CMCP or DCD advanced certifications preferred

  • Experience in advanced/high-tech Mission Critical sectors highly preferred

  • Broad and in-depth business background with a working knowledge of the technical aspects of Mission Critical design/build construction
