The Human Resources Generalist, under the direction of the HRBP, provides management support to the organization and excellent customer service in support of Lifespark's mission and vision. This position will partner with the business, providing tactical business imperatives to drive short- and long-term goals for Lifespark Core Operations and will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, leave of absence management and tracking, HR policy and procedure compliance and best practices, and assistance with employment law compliance. The Human Resources Generalist acts as a liaison between employees and leaders to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies and procedures. This position requires a high level of customer focus, collaboration, critical thinking skills, HR practice knowledge, the ability to create and cultivate relationships at multiple levels, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines. Position Functions and Responsibilities Provide direct HR support for employees and leaders, including but not limited to, onboarding, training, coaching, resolving employee relations matters, disciplining when appropriate, etc. Provides guidance to leaders regarding HR policy and procedures by being an expert level resource on existing policy, procedure, and practice. Respond to questions and concerns from employees and leaders regarding human resources programs and services; resolve questions, concerns, and work with leaders regarding sensitive matters. First point of contact for human resource functions including FMLA and leave approval and tracking, attendance management, investigations, and unemployment. Develop and publish HR analytics reports. Act as a primary administrator in maintaining and updating the HRIS in collaboration with the payroll team. Provides guidance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment law practices; reviews adherence to requirements through human resource auditing and recommending action needed. Enhances organization employee engagement by promoting and practicing a high level of ethics and concern for employee and customer welfare and outcomes. Work on a variety of special projects as required related to the development and implementat on of HR policies, systems, and programs. Provide general administrative support to the HR department. Oversee onboarding processes and ensure they are being followed within the HR team as well as the leadership teams. Identify and assess training needs through interviews with employees, and/or consultation with leaders and engage HR Business Partners and Learning and Development team to coordinate and meet the training needs of the business. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education 4-year degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field preferred Two years' experience in healthcare preferred A minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong customer service Ability to collaborate, create, and cultivate relationships at multiple levels utilizing meaningful communication. Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Passion and commitment to building an inclusive and equitable work environment. Ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team. High level of confidentiality. Knowledge of HR practices and employment law. Integrated HRIS database experience preferred. Must possess advanced computer skills including Excel, Office Suite, and SharePoint Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines on a regular basis Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment Passion for serving the senior population
