Park Nicollet Clinic Behavioral Health Nurse Clinician in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Behavioral Health Nurse Clinician to join our Behavioral Health team! Position Summary: The Nurse, Clinician - Behavioral Health provides direct nursing care to patients within the Behavioral Health area involving advanced assessment, planning, implementation, intervention, and evaluation skills. Administers high quality patient care within scope of practice and standards. The Nurse, Clinician will provide telephone triage and address patient concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. Will function as a liaison between providers, patients, family and staff, and community in the delivery of complex care. Processing refill requests is also a component of this position. Work Schedule: M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm Required Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in the Behavioral Health adult, child/adolescent area preferred. Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Must have and maintain a valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record, and various Health Testing Equipment (i.e., vision, hearing, blood pressure, etc.). Must have strong foundation in Mental Health Knowledge and Skills Must demonstrate knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients. Preferred Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Baccalaureate degree in nursing Telephone Triage Experience is desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills, basic computer/keyboarding skills Strong clinical and human relation skills, will maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS Analytical ability to assess situations and choose effective solutions. Ability to conceptualize workflow, develop plans and implement appropriate actions. The ability to handle multiple priorities, ambiguity, frequent change, and stressful situations.
