Primary Responsibilities Prepare air quality permit documents on behalf of clients, and coordinate and complete permitting projects Work collaboratively with multiple team members to negotiate permit terms with regulatory personnel on behalf of clients Conduct site audits of facilities to assess compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, agency policies, training initiatives, and risk mitigation programs, develop corrective action strategies, and ensure issues are addressed and resolved Work both independently on small projects and as part of larger project teams in cooperation with HDR's client management and project design teams Develop client management skills for select clients to maintain relationships and develop projects Embrace and contribute to a quality culture within the Air Quality Practice Group and within project teams, providing technical support to the group Be willing to learn and expand technical skill base to support mobile source modeling and other project support needs as they emerge Preferred Qualifications Expertise with air emission methodologies, construction and operating permits, and regulations under EPA's PSD/NSR, Title V, NSPS and NESHAP programs Expertise with state and federal air quality regulations to determine applicability and compliance requirements for industrial, institutional, power and utility sources Dispersion modeling expertise specifically with EPA's AERMOD program Mobile source modeling expertise specifically with EPA's MOVES program #LI-LA1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Meteorology or closely related field Experience with Microsoft Office programs Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team May require the ability to travel An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
