Job Description

As the SAP and Business Applications Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and optimization of the North America SAP system. Additionally, you will drive innovation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, foster creativity, and support strategic business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, and organizational transformation.

1. SAP Implementation and Optimization:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and maintenance of SAP and Business Application projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

  • Manage a team of SAP professionals to ensure support levels and project deliverables are achieved.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to define requirements, configure systems, and deploy solutions.

  • Develop and implement best practices for usage, data management, and system integration.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to optimize functionality and user experience.

2. Innovation Strategy and Execution:

  • Champion a culture of innovation by promoting creative thinking, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

  • Identify emerging technologies, trends, and market disruptions relevant to the business domain.

  • Collaborate with business units to assess opportunities for innovation, automation, and digital transformation.

  • Facilitate ideation sessions and innovation workshops to generate new ideas and solutions.

  • Evaluate and prioritize innovation projects based on strategic alignment, feasibility, and potential impact.

3. Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate SAP and Business Applications adoption and innovation initiatives.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and participation.

  • Communicate effectively with executives, managers, and employees to convey the benefits of application and innovation initiatives.

  • Address resistance to change, mitigate risks, and overcome barriers to successful implementation.

4. Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of ERP systems and innovation efforts.

  • Analyze data, gather feedback, and conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement corrective actions, process enhancements, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to SAP and innovation.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (5 - 10 years) in SAP implementation, configuration, and optimization.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving innovation, change management, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

What will set me apart?

  • Certifications in SAP and innovation methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup) are desirable.

Salary Range: $123,000 - $169,000

Annual Bonus Target: 12%, subject to plan provisions.
