If you are a technical professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, Missouri, location, you will work with research and product engineers to develop and test electric motors for use in HVACR systems. We are seeking a technician to contribute to our growth through the development of new products and improvement of existing products.

AS A TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for testing next generation electric motors for HVACR compressor applications

  • Recommend and purchase laboratory equipment, materials, and supplies

  • Assemble prototype motors from purchased or manufactured components

  • Have responsibility for maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment

  • Assist with the development of test procedures and software

SCHEDULE:

You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Associate or equivalent degree in mechanical or electrical technology with five or more years of relevant experience

  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical test equipment

  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of electric motors and variable frequency drives

  • Experience operating machine shop equipment, including lathes and CNC equipment

  • Knowledge of LabVIEW programming
