As part of a half-billion-dollar investment, ICL is building a large-scale commercial production plant that will manufacture lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM) for the energy storage and electric vehicle markets.
We are currently seeking a Process Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the development team to plan and execute experiments towards cost efficient and sustainable phosphate cathode material manufacturing.

I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?
Conduct efficient experimental campaigns in pilot and manufacturing scale to gather relevant information on process parameters and provide recommendations for their implementation.
Perform detailed investigations to identify causative relationships between process variables (e.g., temperature, pressure, flow rates) and product performance.
Characterize process outputs using chemical, physical, and engineering methods as baseline for equipment design, process improvements or to predict manufacturing performance based on process testing.
Develop and prepare process packages for process flows as input for our engineering organization or external partners.
Lead technical discussions with suppliers and stay updated on the latest developments in process technology, aligning these advancements with ICLs company goals.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
University degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, material science, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in process development, preferably in an industrial setting.
Design of experiments to optimize and develop processes.
Experienced in relevant unit operations (e.g. wet processing, drying, sintering, milling) and respective planning, execution analysis of trials, in-house or with external partners at different scales
Strong analytical skills, data management and the ability to work effectively in a team.
High level of self-initiative and goal orientation.
Excellent communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
Business fluent in English.
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $92,000 - $126,000
Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
