Job Description Summary

• Mechanical Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures, for a GMP facility. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned. Specific assignments and project work vary. As an engineering intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the implementation and maintenance of industrial process systems.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Operating and maintaining manufacturing and utility systems in compliance with US and global regulations

  • Updating Engineering Drawings as needed

  • Finding modern day solutions for aging/obsolete equipment

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies

  • Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems and optimize designs

  • Participate in testing and validation activities

  • Gain exposure to industry-standard tools and software

  • Additionally, plant interns collaborate with multidisciplinary projects teams consisting of process engineers, skilled craftspeople, utility operators, contractors, design firms, and equipment suppliers

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Currently attending a BS/MS Mechanical Engineering program

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use
