Business Unit Overview

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm. Responsibilities As a key member of Plant Management Team, the Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for driving the culture of sustainable continuous improvement, operational excellence and delivering business expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Define and design a standard CI program in partnership with central CI and Plant team with the goal of driving continuous operational excellence; through capability building, variability removal and KPI improvements (20%) Functional pillars (Safety, Quality, Focused Improvement, Operator Care & Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Education & Development) processes, supporting templates and foundational tools; with ability to appropriately customize for individual plants / functions models. Example – Develop / establish / review and refine critical process equipment center line settings to optimize production output and quality and minimize shift to shift and operator to operator variability Refine / improve elements of the program according to learnings from implementations. Implement and sustain the CI Program (30%) Establish CI Pillars for agreed functions across the plant. Establish a program to assess and evaluate organizational progress with the implementation of CI model. Identify gaps and creative problem solving. Establish and govern local steering committees. Develop coaching and training programs to train individuals on pillars, templates, tools and systems. Deliver and monitor quantifiable KPIs including Waste Reduction, Line Efficiency Improvements, First Time Quality Pass Rate, Changeover Management and Process Control Systems (20%). Lead the implementation of various CI enablement initiatives to support the execution of core CI objectives (20%) Define a standard implementation guide / work instruction. Define a standard for factory data model analysis. Other CI enablement tools as required. Support with other activities in relation to continuous improvement (10%)

Education and Experience Required:

Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university preferred. Black Belt Certification preferred; Green Belt Certification required. Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in a Continuous Improvement function (Lean, Six Sigma and/or Total Productive Maintenance)

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English language. Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
