General Summary:
- Assists in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of county government operations by providing support for a variety of software applications used within various departments.
- This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring that county employees have access to reliable, secure, and up-to-date applications that facilitate their daily tasks and responsibilities.
Duties:
- Provides front-line support for business applications, including troubleshooting user issues, escalating complex problems to senior analysts or vendors, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Assists in conducting system audits and implementing updates and patches under the supervision of senior analysts.
- Assists in daily application administration tasks, such as user account management and configuration changes.
- Participates in user training sessions and collaborates with users to understand their needs and challenges.
- Supports the implementation of vendor software and contribute to departmental application projects as assigned.
- Assists in developing scope, design requirements, and functional specifications for modifications or acquisitions of software applications.
- Assists in monitoring application release notices for security updates and desired functionality, and supports the implementation of upgrades.
- Collaborates with senior analysts and departmental technical liaisons to resolve user issues effectively.
- Assists in documenting incidents, resolutions, and root cause analyses for future reference and process improvement.
- Contributes to the maintenance of up-to-date support and troubleshooting information in the Information Systems ticketing system.
- Participates in disaster recovery planning for county applications as directed.
- Assists the general public and other governmental agencies with inquiries or problems as needed.
- Supports departmental representation on committees and groups as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and two years of full-time experience in information technology, database management, or application management; OR
- High school diploma or GED certificate and four years of full-time experience in information technology, database management, or application management.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle throughout the course of employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug testing and background check, before employment.
- Candidate may not have any felony convictions.
- The physical ability to lift and carry 20+ pounds, and the ability to bend, stoop, and stand is essential to the performance of job duties.
- May be required to travel off-site.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Basic knowledge and experience with software applications in a professional setting.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the a
