Corewell Health GME Program Specialist in St Joseph, Michigan

Scope of Work

The GME Specialist will work in partnership with the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), Associate DIO (ADIO) and Directors of Graduate Medical Education (GME) as a high-level resource to implement and maintain consistent, departmental standards, processes, and dashboards to supporting institutional efforts and projects.

Essential Functions

  • Provides operational support for new and existing medical education programs and projects. Ensures required documentation, reporting, data collection and database utilization are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares progress reports, study results and other reports as required.

  • Collects and analyzes processes and related data to initiate, develop, and recommend medical education processes and procedures.

  • Serves as the operational lead to provide structure, project management and direction for new and existing medical education initiatives. Collaborates with leadership to develop action and projects plans focused on medical education operations and programs.

  • Assists with the coordination of medical education compliance activities to ensure services are provided in accordance with ACGME accreditation/compliance requirements, State and Federal regulations, organizational policies and procedures, medical staff bylaws, etc.

  • Engages in process and quality improvement initiatives within medical education. Responsible for implementing recommendations to improve processes and workflows, develops new programs or processes and creates documentation of new workflows.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree business, healthcare administration or related field

  • 3 years of relevant experience GME experience Required

  • 5 years of relevant experience GME experience Preferred

  • CRT-Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) - UNKNOWN Unknown 1 Year required
