The role

The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities within our 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining high standards of equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.

How youll make an impact

Lead by example in a values-based culture, promoting Weidmann Leadership Principles of Trust, Alignment, Pride, and Accountability.

Mentor and develop the engineering and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all shifts and departments to maintain high-performance teams.

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, manage preventative maintenance schedules, and oversee repairs to ensure equipment reliability.

Oversee engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards, while supporting new product introductions and process improvements.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a safety-first culture, and lead safety audits and training programs.

Manage facility equipment, assets, and spare parts inventory while leading engineering and maintenance projects from conception to completion.

What do you bring

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years experience in engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems.

Proven experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making

Proficiency in maintenance management software and systems.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
