Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Audiologist in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Audiologist in our ENT & Audiology practice. This mixed specialty practice includes Ears, Nose & Throat, Audiology, Allergy, Speech-Language Pathology and Palliative Care. The Audiologist collaborates with two Otolaryngologists, a PA, an NP, and a Hearing Instrument Specialist. The Audiologist focuses on patient-centered hearing care by providing diagnostic testing, counseling, education, hearing amplification assessments, and management for all ages.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
The Audiologist works with the ENT providers, performing comprehensive diagnostic testing for patients of all ages and providing testing for direct referrals to Audiology. The Audiologist also works with the Hearing Instrument Specialist to provide hearing amplification services, including hearing aid assessments, fittings, cleanings, repairs, counseling, and education. Using strong listening and communication skills in a caring and individualized manner, the Audiologist problem-solves and builds strong rapport with their patients.
In addition to day-to-day hands-on patient care, the Audiologist is responsible for shared administrative work for the department, including ordering audiology supplies and hearing aids, ensuring verification of hearing aid benefits using insurance benefit portals, and managing tasks, documentation, calls, and messages.
Qualifications:
AuD or Master’s in Audiology, a current Vermont Audiology license, and BLS are required.
