Accountemps is pairing up with a large, food and beverage company in the St. Helena, CA area to find a Campus Controller! The Campus Controller is responsible for the planning, reporting, coordination and execution of the financial matters related to all operations. The Campus Controller works directly with the Hyde Park, New York Finance team to manage all aspects of finances for both locations, with the goal of ensuring the fiscal health, reporting accuracy, legal compliance and ethical management of the locations. The Campus Controller provides in depth analysis and reporting on all budget matters, and works with the Managing Directors for each location to ensure that all operations achieve results within budget guidelines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In coordination with relevant department heads, the Campus Controller provides support in the preparation of the annual budget for both locations. Provides feedback and analysis to both Finance and campus operations, and ensures the accuracy and completeness of all data reported. Analyze and determine cause of variance between actual expenses and budgeted expenses. • Monthly revenue expense (P L) reporting and analysis. • Track and evaluate the financial operations of both locations. Meets with department heads monthly to review, in detail, the monthly financial performance of each area. Plans are continually reviewed and adjustments and strategy changes are made when necessary. • Ensure that all local general ledger accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis. • Maintain financial procedures and ensure policies and procedures are being followed. • Manage and accurately account for bank account deposits and disbursements. • Reviews restaurant, store and special events accounting and sales transactions. • Ensures contract revenues are appropriately recorded, invoiced and collected. • Coding and review of campus invoices, faculty and staff expense reports, and reimbursements. • Continually evaluate and promote wise spending of company resources. Look for cost efficiencies and waste reduction or elimination. • Manage and review non-student accounts receivable including cash transactions and credit card activity. • Faculty, Staff and Student payroll timing authorizations, including time and cost center verification. • Biweekly Data maintenance in Time Attendance system of all staff. • Develop and review campus journal entries and review campus invoices. Ensure work is completed on a timely basis, meeting all reporting and invoicing deadlines. • Manage Accounts Receivable and review follow-up on outstanding amounts to ensure collectability. • Manages safeguards and accurately accounts for campus inventory and review of inventory variances. • Routinely reviews overtime and other employee costs. • Support Managing Directors in financial and analytical analysis of special projects, as needed. • Any and all other duties as assigned.

• Commissions Accounting • Budgeting - Forecasting • Experience with Compliance, Cash Posting, Cash Management, Cash Applications, General Ledger, Revenue Reporting Revenue Recognition • CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred. • Prior experience using accounting software. • Prior experience using inventory management system.

Education: • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) with concentration in accounting or finance.

Experience: • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience working in an accounting/financial role. • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
