Intermountain Health seeks a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join our group. We have a robust, comprehensive Women’s Health Division that is supported by three local MFM physicians an OB hospitalist team and a Level 3 NICU, with an opportunity to also work with Intermountain partners in Salt Lake City if desired.

St. Regional Hospital is 284-bed hospital embedded in the community. Is the major medical referral center for northwestern Arizona, southeastern, Nevada, and southern Utah.

Practice Information

  • Intermountain Healthcare is seeking one BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist for St. George Regional Hospital in St. George, Utah.

  • Practice focused on consultation (outpatient and inpatient), prenatal diagnosis, with occasional deliveries as desired.

  • St George Regional Hospital is the primary perinatal-neonatal referral facility for southern Utah.

  • Reasonable call structured that is shared by all.

  • You will focus on complicated or high-risk pregnancies. Have access to diabetes clinic, genetic counseling, placenta/accreta team, fetal intrauterine transfusion, and fetal monitoring.

  • Our MFM’s join in on training residents, students, fellows, with our academic partners.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine

  • The ability to obtain an unrestricted Utah MD or DO license

  • U.S. ACGME Residency

Community Information

The city of St. George has a population of 99,958 and the county has 191,226. As mentioned, the area has recently experienced major population growth, and the trend is expected to continue. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery and is the gateway to the nation’s largest concentration of national parks. Recreational activities for the entire family include boating, camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, and mountain biking. There is a moderate four-season climate, and during winter months residents can ski in the morning and play golf in nearby communities in the afternoon. Overall, you will find sunshine 300 days out of the year. Educational opportunities are available through Utah Tech University (UT) and Southern Utah University (SUU). Summer activities include the Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespearean Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre. Southern Utah is near Las Vegas, NV (1.5 hrs.) and Salt Lake City, UT (4 hrs.).
