Minnwest is seeking an individual for a full-time SBA Specialist position at our St. Cloud location. Other branch locations will be considered. Assist SBA Department and Loan Officers in the fulfillment of the department s responsibilities. Perform various administrative functions necessary to meet goals and maintain good standing with SBA regulators. Specific duties may vary slightly depending on SBA department business needs. Your team will support the entire bank and you will frequently work with commercial bankers and customers in other locations. As such, effective communication and collaboration skills are required. This includes professional phone etiquette, good grammar and writing skills, and the effective use of remote collaboration tools (like screen sharing, video conferencing, and chat) to quickly solve issues and enable a great customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Track and monitor SBA loan servicing requests Proficiently generate documentation needed to support the servicing request Make changes to the bank's core system & SBA system when necessary. Correct loan transactions as needed. Process monthly 1502 report and other reports for compliance with SBA. Answer routine telephone and mail inquires. Maintain a working knowledge of the loan operating system. Maintain a working knowledge of SBA s Standard Operating Procedures & policy updates. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to consistently apply this knowledge to daily processes. Advise Minnwest Bankers and Banking Assistants on SBA requirements for servicing SBA loans. Assist in audit and post-close review of loans closed as requested throughout the year. Monitor SBA and NAGGL for any new SBA issues and policy changes.
