Central Mn Mental Health Ctr Certified Peer Specialist- TCM in St. Cloud, Minnesota

Certified Peer Specialist- TCM: Central MN Mental Health Center has opportunities for full time Certified Peer Specialists. The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for providing peer support and group services for individuals, families receiving Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) services, and individuals in recovery for substance use disorders, who receive services under the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The duties may include, but are not limited to: Follow Minnesota (MN) Department of Human Services (DHS) requirement for families receiving peers' services to also be receiving CTSS services and/or crisis services. Work with providers, staff, and community towards improving both physical and mental health for individuals and families. Assess, refer, and monitor progress towards achieving goals in the overall health of individuals and families. Provide one-on-one peer support, and groups, focused on behavior changes to improve quality of life. Work with individuals and families to set personalized goals and support them in achieving those goals. Empower individuals and families with skills to engage in the management of both physical and mental health The wage range for this position is $14.00-$16.80. The starting salary for each application will be based on years of experience for the position. Qualifications High School/GED required; Bachelors in a related field is preferred. Successful completion of the Department of Human Services approved Certified Peer Specialist training and certification exam. As applicable, completion of the DHS's Certified Family Specialist and/or Certified Recovery Specialist training and certification exams. Experience in wellness coaching. Demonstrated experience in providing superior customer service. Familiarity and understanding of the Minnesota Department of Human Services Licensing requirements and all state laws and rules regarding reporting vulnerable adult abuse and suspected maltreatment of minors. Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening. Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
