Speech Language Therapist - SLPA - School
Experience success from day one as a Speech Language Therapist at a school district in St. Johns County, FL that will equip you to succeed! This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Ideal candidates will have recent school, early childhood, or pediatrics experience, excel in independent time management and a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills.
PAY:
$1,650/Weekly Gross
$44/Hourly
37.5 hours/Week

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for thisSpeeech Therapist opportunity include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
Conduct assessments of students with physical disabilities or impairments to determine their functional abilities and limitations
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve students' gross motor skills, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall physical function
Consult with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to provide strategies for integrating physical therapy goals into the academic setting
Work closely with parents or caregivers to discuss students' progress, provide home exercises, and offer guidance on supporting physical development outside of school
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with school and regulatory standards
Collaborate with other members of the school-based team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and special education staff, to address the comprehensive needs of students
Be a model of professionalism and compassion by serving as an ambassador to this organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SLP SPEECH THERAPIST:
Masters of Science or Doctorate in Speech Language Therapy from an accredited program
Successful completion of National Certification Examination
1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
Valid SLP license in Florida
